Just like on "You've Come a long way Baby" there are some low points but when he hits his mark he sheet music hits it big. I can do without "Bird of Prey" but I think that's his radio ready track so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on that one. The final few tracks though really leave you wanting more. And if more is what you want then the best Fatboy album through and through is "Better living through Chemistry" so if you like his stuff check that one out. |

| An album that has a more mature feel to it than his other outings, but still managing to keep that funky spirit goin' strong.One complaint though......Macy Grey.....on, not one, but, TWO of tracks?!? An ill advised move I think. "Mad Flava" is another one that is disposable, but other than that it's a darn polyphonic ring tones good effort.With "Retox"'s bass that could rumble yer breakfast out of yer stomach if ya had good enough speakers, and "Ya Mama"'s no-holds-barred "I'm on a mad one, don't stop me now" polyphonic ring tones attitude, over to "Song For Shelter"'s mellow and down-right funky grooves and meaningful lyrics (ya have to listen to that one), this album will rock it, big time.One star taken off for grituitous use Macy Grey in a musical recording, but if you just forget that those songs are there then you'll realise what an incredibly broad and musically skillful piece of work this album really is........but |
