| To assess what role DHA might have in maintaining this transmission, Greg M. Cole, a neuroscientist at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and his colleagues used old mice—17 months on average—that were genetically engineered to develop waxy protein plaques prostate in their brains, much as Alzheimer's patients do.
